How Long Does It Take To Heal?

HOW LONG DOES HEALING TAKE?

As the body heals (or returns to its knowing of completeness and inner strength) it is messy and not linear. It heals as it deems a priority, not how we desire it too heal. Meaning what we see as a priority like say speech or eczema or meltdowns may not be the priority for the body. Now we can talk and command the DNA to heal but only from love, not fear and stress and from lack.
In some cases

It’s 3-5 years for complete healing of the physical and 7 years for complete energetic and trauma release healing. Often the mind and deep trauma patterns are preventing the physical shifts. It’s never one without the other.

Take cancer for instance. Yes it’s an acidic body, full of toxins and mucus…but why did that happen? Most cases trauma, stress, a suppression of emotions. Treat the acidic body and release the emotional stress and pain. Empower the person to speak their truth and shine their light and find joy…and bingo the cancer reduces and disappears.

Or fibromyalgia!! Yes a toxic build up that can be treated fast with raw living foods and fasting…it is also a trauma response that’s on loop being played out causing the mind to create pain in the physical….so treat the emotional pain and alkaline the bodies terrain and bingo it STOPS!

This is why some people heal and others don’t. It’s never just the diet or just the emotional state. It’s deeper than that. Everything is connected and serving us. In some cases it’s their journey to experience this pain or sickness to for fill their path. Or the sickness or symptom is protecting them and they are not ready to give that up. On a subconscious level.
Deep huh!

Ok so let’s hang on!! That’s not to say it’s a catastrophe of healing crisis’s and yuckiness for 5- 7 years. Phew

It gets easier and easier and more and more enjoyable and you see more and more results as you move through the detox process.
But the secret is to trust and find peace in the unfolding, as it will not look like how you want it.

The 1 symptom I wanted to heal first….is still unfolding years later. The more I want that to release, the further I got away from it. I had to learn to love that symptom to start to release it, as for my body.. it’s like … not a priority in fact it’s serving us let it go

The MIND is the key

Once we understand that our energy and mindset are equally as important to healing, than the physical shifts and changes….and that there will be good days and unravellings and unwanted days, weeks or even months where we feel we are going backwards and getting worst (healing crisis). Or the physical is good…but the mind or emotions are all over the place. Or you build a good mindset and spiritual practice first then the physical comes later.

When we are consistent in our actions as we have a visual goal of how we want to feel and be. We show ourselves and our family compassion and love… will will get there! MIND BODY SPIRIT

This will help along the way.

TRUST THE PROCESS

Things that will SLOW HEALING down:

A foot in each camp. Not jumping fully into the healing journey. Not giving it enough time.

Cooked foods.

Salt, oil, sugar, yeast, flours.

Supplements or isolates.

Poorly combined foods.

Not enough time in nature and grounding to the earth and using natural cycles to cleanse .

Not using detox supports like homeopathy, essential oils or herbal tinctures.

A Mindset of fear, procrastination and doubts.

Toxic abusive relationships and stress. To self or others.

Mould or fungus in the environment or poor air quality.

Fluoride toxic water in the house.

Not removing yeasts, funguses, heavy metals and vaccines damage with herbs or homeopathy.

Not asking for help or allowing others to support you. Doing it all on your own.

Staying in your story. Playing the victim.
KEEP GOING BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY

Please don’t stop or give up at the first healing crisis and return to old ways that didn’t serve you. It’s not the fruits of a plant diet. It’s time and consistency and all the above!

Why Do We NOT Use Oils In A Raw Vegan Diet?

Why No Oils?

There is no place for any oil in a real whole foods, plant diet. Olive oil, coconut oil, avocado & other vegetable oils are processed foods that do not support good health, in fact hinder it. Even flaxseed oils. Most oils are manufactured in a way they turn into a trans fat. We know trans fats are the worst fhoods on the planet killing us.
* Vegetable oils contain almost no vitamins, protein, carbohydrates, minerals or fibre they are empty calories
* Vegetable oils are extremely energy dense & lead to weight gain & diabetes
* Whole plant foods like avocado, coconut, seeds, nuts, greens, vegetables & fruits contain all the essential fats that our bodies require

Eating oils stops the simple sugars from fruits, vegetables or greens reaching the cells causing
diabetes due to fermentation. Causing gas, bloating, rashes & exhaustion,
taxing the liver stopping healing. Oils weaken the mitochondria & cause nervous
system damage. 1 bag of crips/chips or 2 rashes of bacon or one deep fried pattie or hash brown or a spread of nutilex or margarine is
the equivalent of 3 cigarettes & takes longer to recover from. Taking 6-8 days to
recover the body & to eliminate from the liver. Eat these foods often & the liver
gets overburdened. Add sugar which taxes the liver further, poor food combinations
& denatured foods & the liver gets backed up. The liver is needed for everything, most fatty liver is caused by oils not alcohol. Oils create a mucoid plague build up in the intestines stopping absorption & creating a home for fungus & parasites to breed. Oils hinder the flow of blood in the body creating artery build up.

The myth that olive oil is “heart healthy” as some studies suggests is a lie & research in this field needs to be properly understood.
Studies made on the Mediterranean diet have only shown that consuming olive oil lowers LDL cholesterol when it replaces animal fats, like butter & cheese, its all a perspective of olive oil is better than margarine…however that doesn’t mean its healthy.
But adding olive or other vegetable oils to an otherwise healthy diet only increases LDL levels. Barnard, Greger, Campbell, Esselstyn all have written great papers on this.

1 banana provides you with 105 calories, with only 4% of its calories from fat, which is similar to most fruits, with the exception of a few “fatty fruits”, like avocado & olives.

Per pound oil is calorie rich without being dense in nutrients:
•Vegetables – 100 calories per pound
•Fruits – 300 calories per pound
•Unrefined complex carbohydrates, potatoes, whole grains, legumes – 400-600 calories per pound
•Avocados – 750 calories per pound
•Refined complex carbohydrates – 1,200 calories per pound
•Sugar – 1,800 calories per pound
•Nuts & seeds – 2,800 calories per pound
•Oil – 4,000 calories per pound

You see adding oils to your salads stops absorption of the vegetables. Creates a high calorie meal & feeds bacteria, parasites & fungus. Confusing the stress receptors also. Making the brain seek more foods when it’s had plenty of empty calories.

Now aiming to not eat oils naturally means cutting out 95% of processed foods instantly! No supermarket junk, processed food, takeouts, candies, crisps, crackers, cartoon milks, ect….

Cooking at home without oil is SIMPLE. Just replace oil on salads with a oil free dressing or lemon juice. Ask for lemon juice no dressings when you are out. Replace oils with water or stock when you are sauté or making curries ect. Bake with water in a separate dish to create steam & coat vegetables with lemon juice & dried herbs or spices.

Oils are not whole foods or healthy. Even pig pooped argan oil! Or coconut oil. Have you watched how they make coconut oil? Have you tried washing oil of your hands? Try the cells?

Oil Free Chippies

Getting kids off hot chips that are salty and oily can be hard as the addiction is REAL!

slowly introduce homemade chips then move away from oils and salts. Here is the recipes for oils free homemade chippies that use sweet potato and kumara as a white potato alternative.

HOW TO MAKE:

Slice the potato’s to the shape your child likes. I left the skins on and did wedges. You may want to skin them and make them look like French fries 🍟

Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Pre heat the oven to 175-200 degrees.
Place the cut potato’s into a steamer for 5-10 minutes or until soft but not falling apart.
Place the steamed potato’s into the lines tray.
Season to taste or leave plain. I used Italian herbs 🌿 and lemon juice 🍋

You could use paprika and cumin and orange or dill and lemon or thyme and lemon or turmeric and orange or cinnamon and orange 🍊

Place a tray of plain water in the bottom of the oven. This is to create steam so the potato’s don’t dry out.
Place the seasoned chippies in the tray into the oven.

The chippies will take 25-45 minutes depending on your oven and how much they were steamed. Half way through toss them and remove the baking paper to allow them to crisp slightly. You could add more lemon or orange juice if required.

Once they are golden but not burnt bring them out of the oven.

Serve with greens to help digestion and if you like to my raw tomato sauce from the recipe book.
Or purred steamed carrots, touch of ginger and coriander with a little lime juice to make a dip for the chippies 🍠🥔

Slowly slowly the kids will come around to these homemade oil free dry roasted chippies. Once they do then move them to kumara, then sweet potato

Green Detox Smoothie

Is DETOXING with food possible?

               🍃🌱🍃🌱🍃🌱🍃🌱🍃🌱🍃🌱🍃

Detoxification of damaged cells and removing mucus, plague and rejuvenating organs takes sleep, no pressure on the body or digestion tract, clean water, a clean environment and TIME.

Foods like greens and fruit, melons and berries can help you do this but it’s not the food that detoxifies your body it’s the rest and sleep and introducing fasting where there’s no pressure on the body so it can use all the energy to HEAL. But the food you put in can HELP or HINDER this process i.e. either add to the toxic load or be easy to digest and help pull crap out of the body. Greens are one of the best way to remove toxins, heavy metals and chemical from your body dislodging them and allowing your body to pass them out on its own when you rest.

But only certain foods from nature help to heal the body. These are; fruit, berries, melons, greens, clean water, green juices, coconut water and young tender baby vegetables and sprouts! * Nuts, legumes and seeds and other vegetables and starches do not detoxify the body. I’m not saying they are bad for the body either but they are building foods not drawing foods.

This is a great way to start the journey to detoxing your body…replace your breakfast with this smoothie.

Dairy and soy free sour cream.

So what’s it made out of?

Don’t’ worry it’s packed with flavour this  “Sour Cream” is made from sunflower seeds!

What you will need:

Sunflower “Sour Cream”

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup raw soaked sunflowers seeds
  • juice of  1 or a ½ lemon or lime to taste
  • 5 tbsp. water (approx.)

Directions:

Put all ingredients except water in a high speed blender or food processor and blend, adding water one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached. If you want a thick cream, use less water, for a thinner sauce, use more. (You will not achieve a perfectly smooth sauce with a food processor, but it is still delicious!)

i suggest teaming it with my raw salsa and popping in in coz leaves as a crunch snack or dinner…

Raw Salsa

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped cherry tomatoes

½ red bell pepper, chopped fine

½ orange or yellow bell pepper, chopped fine

½ cup pineapple chopped finely

4 green spring onions, finely chopped

¼ cup chopped coriander

¼ cup chopped mint

½ clove garlic, minced

Juice of ½ lime

1 chopped finely pitted date

1 tsp dulse flakes

Directions:

  1. Whisk the garlic, lime juice and dates, in the bottom of a bowl and set aside.
  2. Cut up the veggies into small pieces, chop the cilantro and add everything to the dressing bowl. Fold to combine and let sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.

Place the sour cream in the bottom of coz leafs and dress with the salsa and fresh coriander on top!

This goes really well with my raw tacos and mango salsa…check them out here!

Raw Mexican Nut Free “TACOS”!

Mexican style raw tacos are a favourite in our home for our special treat meal . . .you will love them too…great messy finger food for the kids and packed full of flavour while being healthy and low in fat and the option to make them starch free too. Dress them up with toppings or just eat them simply . . .

IMG_9994.JPG

What you will need:

Makes for 4-6 serves.

The “Taco” mixture:

  • 2 corn on the cobs kernels removed (optional if you are no starches at present)
  • 6 semi dried tomatoes soaked
  • 2 dates soaked and pitted
  • 4 fresh large tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 punnet cherry tomatoes quartered
  • 2 sticks celery one for the blender and 1 finally diced
  • 1/2 tsp smoky paprika
  • 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 8 brown mushrooms and a pinch of dried mushroom if you have it
  • 1 finally diced zucchini
  • 1/2 red capsicum diced
  • juice of 1 lime and zest
  • 1 loose cup coriander chopped
  • 1/2 loose cup mint chopped
  • 1/4 loose cup parsley chopped
  • soaking water (about 2-3 tbs)

To serve:

  • Iceberg lettuce or coz lettuce to serve as tacos
  • 1 cup finally shredded red cabbage
  • Sprouts or micro herbs
  • Sliced avocado
  • Pesto or dip (optional)

How to make these:

  1. Soak the dates and tomatoes in very little water till soft (you use the water in the mixture so only use a little, so you keep all the flavour.
  2. In a blender add the 4 large tomatoes, 1/2 the mushrooms, celery, dates, semi dried tomatoes, cumin, paprika’s and soaking water and blend till smooth but still with texture. Then add the remaining mushrooms and pulse till textured.
  3. In a medium bowl add the corn kernels, 1 stick of diced celery, diced capsicum, diced zucchini, lime zest and juice, chopped herbs, quartered cherry tomatoes and stir together.
  4. Add the tomato sauce from step 2. and stir again.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the lettuce cups which I would suggest lining with shredded red cabbage…and top with your favourite toppings!

This mixture gets more flavoursome with time, so I suggest making it in the morning. This will also allow the mixture to set and the liquid to drain off allowing the “tacos” or lettuce cups not to get wet…

Finish with micro herbs or sprouts and slices of avocado or vegan chipotle mayonnaise or vegan sour cream….I used coriander pesto! Dairy and soy free sour cream.

Raw oil free salad dressings.

These are my favourite salad dressings. . .

  1. Chipotle Dressing – 1 red capsicum, 1/2 clove garlic (optional), 1 zucchini peeled, 1 tbsp tahini, 1 large celery stalk, 1 small lemon, 1tsp sweet paprika, 1/2 cup sunflower seeds – blended till smooth.

  1. Oil Free Pesto – 1 peeled zucchini, 1/2 clove garlic, 1 cup basil, 1

small lemon, 1/2 cup sunflower or pumpkin seeds-blended till

smooth.

  1. Zesty and Creamy– 1 whole orange, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 cup fresh

mint- blended till smooth.

  1. Asian Style -1 small lime, 2 tbs coconut aminos (or tamari), 1/2

chilli (optional) 1 clove garlic (optional) 1 tbs tahini, 1 inch ginger grated, 1 pitted date,  1/4 cup pineapple juice – pestle & mortar together. Add sesame seeds in once it’s made for decoration.

  1. Simple & Easy– juice from 1 small lemon, 2 tbs tahini – whisked together.

  1. Creamy Basil Dressing – 1 avocado, juice 1 small lemon, 1/2 cup basil, 8 brazil nuts – blended till smooth.

  1. Tropical Bliss – 1 mango cheek, 1/2 red capsicum, 1 cup fresh

mint, 1 cup coriander, 1/2 cup sunflower seeds – blended till smooth.

  1. BBQ Sauce – 4 organic soaked & drained semi-dried tomatoes, 2 soaked dates, 1/2 red capsicum, 1 clove garlic, 1/2 cup fresh

coriander, 1/2 cup fresh mint, 1 tsp sweet paprika, 2 fresh

tomatoes, 1 peeled zucchini – blended till chunky or smooth

which ever you like & add some of the date water if you need to

adjust the texture.

  1. Ranch Dressing – 1 cup soaked & drained macadamia nuts, 1

clove garlic, 1/2 cup fresh dill, 2 sprigs thyme, 1 tbs apple cider

vinegar, 2 spring onions, 1/2 lemon – blended till very smooth

adding water if needed. Once blended add thinly slice spring

onions and more chopped chives.

  1. Pina Colada- ½ cup pineapple juice. ¼ cup fresh mint. ½ cup coconut milk, 2 tbs tahini, 1 inch grated ginger, ½ garlic clove, 1 tbs coconut aminos, squeeze lime- blended till smooth.

Of course if you cannot eat garlic or nightshade or spices or nuts substitute these or keep it simple. I do not recommend processed oils or vinegars or salt and pepper – spices are to be kept at a minimum too – oils like olive oil stop the body digesting the food it’s eaten with . . . slowing down the digestion!
