HEALING symptoms associated with AUTISM is POSSIBLE – steps of how I did it and how you can too!

I am not a doctor and these are guidelines and practices to which I have followed to heal my sons. Please consult your Doctor or Naturopath before trying any of these. Ok that out the way . . . we need to get the message out that many cases Autism can be reversed especially vaccine related Autism!!

Why does one child get vaccinated and presents with Autism and another is “fine”?

The gut micro-biome holds the key…asthma, ear infections, colic, croup, food allergies, sensory processing and skin conditions are all ‘pre’ autism symptoms. What do I mean by that? Well they are signs the gut and brain is under pressure and that anything can push the body over the edge – vaccines, a poor diet, stress in the home, a trauma ect. Even if it doesn’t push the body to displaying autism symptoms, you can see a life of illness ahead leading to auto-immune issues and eventually cancers ect….everything is connected and the body tries to show you it’s under pressure. We must learn to listen and stop allowing society to tell us these are normal childhood illnesses.

THEY ARE BLOODY WELL NOT! They are signs of a toxic body under pressure. . .

Autism like any illness  or disease is a collection of symptoms that shows the body needs to detoxify. You detoxify the body, the symptoms drop away and the body returns to health. It is that simple!

Autism is separate to personalty or family traits and no amount of detoxifying the body can change personalty -this is about removing daily symptoms that affect your child’s life.

If your open and prepared to heal your child of Autism, ADHD or Learning Difficulties or yourself of any Disease or Cancer you need to work on ALL of these things with dedication and with faith;

• Removing and cleansing the body of parasites, viruses, candida overgrowths, yeast overgrowths and worms by alkalising the body through a vegan plant based diet high in raw living foods and using natural tools like zeolite, broccoli sprouts, barley grass powder, cell food, herbs, clays, detox smoothies and greens and many more even cannabis oil.
• Removing heavy metals from the organs and blood through chelation, either with foods alone like detox smoothies or and green juices or natural herbs or homeopathy or all together.
• Work on deficiencies within the cells and use foods to replace them and homeopathy.
• Nourish the body with real whole foods ONLY, taking the pressure of the gut and nervous system.
• Remove strictly ALL grains, dairy, high cooked foods like crackers, muffins, cookies, breads and biscuits void of nutrients (even gluten free ones and homemade), sugars (even natural ones like honey), salt, coffee, oils, chocolate and cacao, synthetic supplements, powders and processed foods.
• Work on re-wiring the brain and calming the nervous system through meditation, sound healing, music, light healing, early interventions, positive affirmations, Reiki, energy work, massage, osteopaths, Son Rise programs, unconditional love and acceptance and the right environment at home and school with the right people around them.
• Remove toxins from the home and any environment they are in, and from all body products too.
• Remove WiFi from the home (use broad brand plug in only) and get an EMF reading done and mould removed, and smart meter protection or have it removed.
• Install a whole house reverse osmosis safe water system.
• Remove all plastics from the kitchen and make sure your kitchen ware is safe and toxic free and lead free.
• Hold belief in the power of the body and it’s healing capabilities, learning to get out the way and let it heal… i.e. stop sabotaging it with “treats” and let it do it’s thing.
• Repair vaccine damage if they were vaccinated by homeopathy and nutrition.
• Remove ALL videos, TV and iPads that stop the brain rewiring and being calm, instead moving to nature, high vibrational music, art, crafts, journaling, yoga, Qigong and games that involve imagination to build up the right hand brain.
• Surround your family in a high vibration and with high vibrational people to help elevate the damaged cells in frequency.
• Allow time to heal and have faith!
• Self care and self love is important for the parents and carers too 💙 you can not heal your child without caring for yourself first and the energy you project effects the child directly.
• Unite as a family and ALL get involved with diet changes and lifestyle changes. You will see this as a blessing to heal you all soon.

It’s never one thing that heals the body but a collection of approaches and mediums. . . and time!

Properties of fruit – Natures SUPERFOODS not from a packet!

We hear so much about superfoods and there is always a new berry or seed from a far away land packaged up ready to heal us! What about the common fruits you can get easily and eat every day?

Each fruit holds a different set of nutrients and can help you overcome deficiencies you may have or build you in areas you need. Learning to treat your body with these powerful packed goodies instead of supplements or pills or spending money on packaged super foods is the key to longevity, be it fertility, gut health, depression or removing heavy metals.

If I see a clients test results I work out how they can overcome these deficiencies  by adding in more of one fruit or more of a vegetable to build the body up. Once you learn to listen to your body and what it’s asking for you no longer have the need for supplements or crazy diets. And the body stops the addictive craving rollercoaster as really you listen to what it’s asking for and you start to grab natures powerful gifts . . . not the chocolate bar or coffee. . .

Sweet Fruits.

Banana

Good for: crohn’s, colitis, adrenal fatigue, digestion, increases fat burning, autism and diabetes, lowers risk of colorectal and kidney cancer. Anti-viral properties.

Contains: potassium,  B6, vitamin C, B5, B2, folate, selenium, manganese, potassium, copper, magnesium.  And a B12 enhancing food.

A good fruit to eat with dates and sweet potatoes 2-3 days before your menstrual cycle to give you energy.

Date

Good for: adrenal support, chronic fatigue, thyroid conditions, diabetes, SIBO, GERD, OCD, lung cancers, autism , ADHD, insomnia when eaten as the last meal, vertigo, edema, candida and anxiety.

Contains:  B5, B3, B2, beta carotene, copper, potassium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, calcium, iron, fiber. And a B12 enhancing food.

I suggest eating these with greens for better absorption of the natural sugars and having some in your bag to stop cravings taking over you.

Good for: removing parasites, autism, ADHD, asthma, menopause, pylora, sinus and bad eyes sight issues, alzheimers, constipation, eczema, crohn’s, colitis, SIBO, highly alkaline, the skins have anti-septic properties, highly mineralised, a laxative, a intestinal cleanser

Grape – (organic seeded varieties are best)

Good for:  heart and blood vitalisation, filtering the kidneys, keeps blood platelets from sticking together, osteoporosis, cancers (anti-cancer phytonutrients), varicose veins, inflammation, anemia and rheumatoid arthritis, detoxifying,  cleansing, hay fever and allergies, has anti-viral properties, Great for brain fog so make a great afternoon snack!

Good for: digestive support, adrenal support, liver disease, ideal for SIBO, fibromyalgia, MS, migraines, eczema, acne, rosacea and skin conditions, lymes disease, cleansing, enhances fat burning, autism, ADHD, adrenal support and fatigue.

Nectarine –(organic is best)

Great for: as a digestive aid and cleanser.

Great for: gallstones, lymes disease, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, moulds and candida as it helps bind to them and pull them out, gut health.

Great for: bowel cancer and contraption as its a good laxative.

Raspberries – (organic is best)

Great for: lowering bad cholesterol and inhibits certain cancer growth, diabetes, autism, ADHD, stress, adrenal support, fibromyalgia and menstrual cramps.

Contains:  antioxidants, vitamin C , vitamin K, vitamin E, folate, B5, manganese, copper, and iron.

A great food to eat during your menstrual flow.

Acid-Fruit.

Cranberry

Great for: respiratory and urinary tracts, , gallbladders, yeast infections, staph infections, a diuretic, weigh loss, diabetes, ear wax and eat infections, breaks down toxins, balances hormones.

Contains:  vitamin C, tannic and oxalic acids.

Grapefruit

Great for: high in pectin which strengthens blood vessels and capillaries and reduces the accumulation of atherosclerotic plaque in those afflicted with this problem. Grapefruit juice eases constipation and improves digestion but can reduce appetite, helping with weight loss. Good to eat for cancers, heart problems, strokes, constipation, the blood and nerves. Digestive aid, vascular health, removal of in organic calcium from joints so good for arthritis.

Contains: Vitamin c, pantothenic acid, copper, dietary fiber, potassium, biotin and vitamin B1.

Kiwi

Great for: arthritis, OCD, diabetes, adrenal support, SIBO. Removes excess sodium buildup, the enzymes help in correcting and soothing digestive system including acid reflux and anti-aging.

Contains: vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin, E, folate, copper, potassium.

Kumquat

Great for: anti-aging.

Lemon

Oranges

Great for: reducing inflammation, shrink tumors, and inhibit blood clots, help with gum disease, kidney stones, anxiety, depression, acne, removing heavy metals. The Herperidin in oranges can help to lower blood pressure and cholesterol, they contain bioflavonoids, citric acids and pectin. Oranges are good for cancers, heart problems, strokes, constipation, the blood and nerves and  digestive support.

Contains: 170 different phytonutrients and more than 60 known falconoid, calcium, vitamin C.

A great fruit to eat the week before your menstrual cycle to help prepare and clean your body.

Pineapple

Great for: adrenal support, respiratory conditions, ADHD, PCOS, removing heavy metals when used with greens. Promotes joint health, reduces inflammation, a  diuretic, a digestive aid, a cleanser of mucus, and a mild laxative.

Tomato – (heirlooms and organic are best)

Great for: Tomatoes are filled with antioxidants and phytonutrients, over 9,000 known phytonutrients to date. The main and most powerful antioxidant known in the tomato is lycopene. Lycopene is thought to protect the liver, lungs, prostate gland, colon and skin from sunburn among other things. Ongoing research seems to show that lycopene helps prevent macular degeneration, lower cholesterol, support the immune system and can help prevent and rid cancers. Also has a alkaline residue and reduces inflammation.

Contains: vitamin C, B6, B5 ,B1, vitamin K, copper, iron, magnesium.

Only eat raw do not cook tomatoes!

High Fat Fruits.

Avocado

Great for: colitis and crohn’s and gut health. Helps restores the intestinal lining and gut health, removing polyps, good for liver and to lower cholesterol levels. Great for the brain and growing children

Contains:  vitamin E, protein, iron and copper, Omega 3 essential fatty acids.

A great fruit to eat while you are ovulating and the week after ovulation.

Durian –  great after work out food as it’s high in potassium and sulfur which makes them a warming fruit.

Contains: vitamin C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, folate, copper, manganese, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron.

Smells bad but is tasty!

Olives – (not in oil)

Great for: anti-aging, very alkalising, lubricating and cleansing.

Contains: calcium, sodium, magnesium, amino acids, antioxidants, vitamin A and E. High in Omega 3 essential fatty acids.

Coconut fresh meat and water

Great for: autism, gut health, adrenal support, parkinson’s, anti-aging, brain support, alzheimers’s, adrenal support, diabetes, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, heart conditions.  provides protection against UV raises, promotes collagen and contains probiotics.

Contains:  4 electrolytes, anti-microbial fats, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral properties, magnesium, potassium, iron and sodium.

Add coconut water to green smoothies to help the greens like parsley and coriander to remove heavy metals and unwanted acids form the body. A great fruit to eat after your menstrual cycle to help support your body.

These 4 fruits are very high in fat, but are of the best healthiest kind. However, you should eat these foods in moderation. If you are consuming a lot of fruit or you will end up with insulin problems. A low fat raw food diet usually works best for most people look into the 80/10/10 Diet. If you are a slow oxidizer and have weight to loose you should aim for 10% fat in your diet or less. If you are eating a 2000 calorie diet this works out to be about 22 grams of fat per day and this adds up quicker than you might think. One avocado has about 25 grams of fat and one olive has 1 gram of fat. If you are a fast oxidizer you can eat a higher percentage of 20% but be careful not to consume too much high sugar fruit or stay high fat for too long.

Non-Sweet Fruits.

Bell peppers – (orange and red only, green are unripe and not suugested organic is best)

Great for: protects against sunburn, good for the heart.

Contains: beta carotene, vitamin C, folate, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, vitamin E. vitamin K, iron, manganese.

Cucumber – (organic is best)

Great for: skin and hair, energy, adrenals support, cushing’s syndrome, MS, infertility, the lymphatic system, chronic fatigue and a cooling effect on the organs, great for e-coli infections and yeast overgrowths, alkalising, a diuretic and a great cleanser.

Contains: electrolytes, high in vitamin K (this can be converted to K2 for bone and teeth health), B5, silicon, potassium, copper.

A great fruit to eat after your menstrual cycle to help support your body.

Tomato – (also an acid fruit see above)

Squash

Great for: contains vitamins A and C, maganese and magnesium, and contains folate, which has been shown to reduce the incidence of neural tube defects and other birth defects.

Contains: carotenoid beta-cryptoxanthin, has decreased incidence of lung cancer. A cup of winter squash contains 15% of the recommended daily allowance of folate.

Eggplant

Great for: alzheimer’s, autism , epilepsy, cancer, stress, ADHD.

Contains: vitamnins B1, B3, B6, C and potassium, glykoalkaloids and phytonutrients like flavonoids, caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid. The flavonoid nasunin in eggplants, has high levels of antioxidant properties and is known to be a scavenger of free radicals, thus protecting the cells of the body. Nasunin is also known for its ability to protect the fats surrounding the cell membrane of the brain. the chlorogenic acid it contains is known to be the most potent antioxidant that displays antimicrobial, antiviral and antitumor abilities and plays an important role in the prevention of many diseases. Glykoalkaloids invade cancer cells and stimulate the cell’s owns digestive enzymes the culinary definition of fruit excludes these foods, botany declares them a fruit because of their seeds. They are low in sugar and fat and are great to add to salads or just to eat alone as part of a low fat raw food diet. Best to be steamed whole and then added to salads or raw dips.

Melons.

Melons are one of natures miracle foods, close to our own milk in goodness as they give us all we need. They are one of the best cleansers and I recommend eating mono meals of melons too clear out your system. Melons are to be eaten alone due to there rapid digestion time so make a great breakfast. Melons are the most alkalising fruits around, high in electrolytes making them a super food for us! They are easily absorbed bioavailable and bioactive so utilised by the body easily.

Cantaloupe

Great for: immunity support, protects against sunburn, reduces inflammation, a cleanser and great for rehydrating, ideal for diabetes as it helps balances insulin levels and hormones.

Contains: a great nutrient profile, very high in beta carotene, vitamin C, folate, B3, potassium, copper. Great for parasites.

A great fruit to eat after your menstrual cycle to help support your body.

Watermelon – (organic and seeded is best)

Great for: SIBO, adrenal fatigue, heavy metals, adrenal fatigue, protects against sunburn, helps reduce the risk of prostate, ovarian and cervical cancers and a great cleanser, great for rehydrating.

Contains: beta carotene, vitamin C and  copper.

Bittermelon – the fruits and leaves of bitter melon are a good source of minerals and vitamins, such as iron, calcium, phosphorus and vitamin B. The juice from the leaves is also good to prevent and lessen cough, for fever and against ringworms. it is also used to treat sterility in women and alleviate liver problems. bitter melon has some antimicrobial activity and can help infected wounds. Nutritional contents can actually be absorbed by the body’s digestive system of the plant become some of these substances exist in unabsorbable form. It lowers blood sugar levels and addition in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, reducing the patients intake of antidiabetic drugs.

Protein and Calcium on Raw Vegan Diet!

Protein is required for the development of the human body , but the protein consumed should be of the highest quality and is often misunderstood the amount we need per day. In a child it is around 15-20% per day and in an adult is 10-15% per day and in many cases much less. More proteiIn than this can cause inflammation in the body, more so if it is from animal products.

Other than Lychees ALL fruit and vegetables have all 8 Amino Acids (protein) and omega 3 fatty acids. 

There are proteins in everything that grows as long as it’s not a refined food. But If some of our vegan foods don’t stack up against animal foods and are deficient in certain amino acids, they are compensated by their abundance in other goodies and eating verity will help overcome this.

Green leafy vegetables and small amounts of a variety of nuts, legumes, sprouts and seeds provide this high level of nutrients and protein.

EAT YOUR GREENS AND GET YOUR KIDS TO EAT THIER GREENS DAILY!

For example:

  • Spinach contains 49% calories from protein.
  • Kale contains 45% calories from protein.
  • Hemp seeds contain 22% calories from protein.
  • Sprouts 44% calories from protein, an excellent source of protein and B12 so perfect vegan food.

A pregnant and lactating woman can get all the protein she needs eating verity rich whole food, raw living vegan diet without deficiencies.

Eating meat floods the body with protein waste products. The kidneys then need to eliminate these acidic wastes, requiring calcium as a buffer in the process, leeching calcium from the bones. Calcium is continually lost in the urinary waste, and may result in osteoporosis or bone loss. It has been showed now that people who consume dairy in large daily amounts over their lifetime tend to have osteoporosis. Contrary what we are taught!

Also excess proteins have a negative effect on calcium stores too because amino acids contain sulfur, which in turn affects the body’s pH balance. Excess Calcium prevents fat absorption within the gut. I suggest eating your calcium rich foods like kelp, dulse, celery, broccoli, figs, rhubarb and oranges away from fats and proteins will help and too little calcium will affect your bone and teethe health.

Increasing your B12 now will help with protein absorption rather than eating more protein, and K2 for teethe and bone health, as it acts like a public transportation system for calcium. You consume calcium through food like the rich foods above. Vitamin D from the sun ~ the body easily absorbs vitamin D with just 15 minutes of exposure to sunshine per day ~ triggers ergosterol, which is transformed into vitamin D, which helps us absorb calcium from the foods we consume directly into our bloodstream. This will help take the pressure of the body from excuse protein until you can transition to a low fat high carb raw vegan lifestyle.

Then vitamin K2 takes the calcium to where it needs to go. Without vitamin K2, calcium can end up hardening in your arteries as plaque, and deposits in the joints, arteries, kidneys, brain and elsewhere.

Often we seem to be low or high in calcium when in fact it is due to heavy metal that calcium gets drawn out of the bones and teeth and floats around the blood not being able to be utilised so is urinated out. This means it is present, but cannot be used properly. This condition causes symptoms of both deficiency and excess at the same time because there can be a deficiency of available calcium, and an excess of bio-unavailable calcium at the same time. I do not suggest calcium supplements. The body does not cope well with large amount of nutrients not in a whole foods form being dumped in to the body so doesn’t utilise it and excretes most out.

We should eat the food to which we are naturally adapted too which has ample amounts of protein, omega 3 fatty acids, nutrients, and essential carbohydrates. Fruits, vegetables, green leafy vegetables, sprouts, berries, sprouted legumes, nuts and seeds. Not animal flesh to get our protein.

Protein rich plant foods are:

  • spinach 49% calories from protein.
  • kale 45% calories from protein.
  • broccoli 45% calories from protein.
  • cauliflower 24% calories from protein.
  • green paper 22% calories from protein.
  • parsley 34% calories from protein.
  • cucumber 22% calories from protein.
  • lettuce 29% (let that sink in!) calories from protein.
  • cabbage 25% calories from protein.
  • tomatoes 18% calories from protein.
  • apricots 12% calories from protein.
  • peaches 9% calories from protein.
  • sunflower seeds 14% calories from protein.
  • watermelon 9% calories from protein.

Yes you can get protein from fruit!

Let’s compare that to animal products:

  • beef 25.8% calories from protein.
  • chicken 23% calories from protein.
  • eggs 12% calories from protein.

How many of us experience stress?

A perception of stress is that it is because of what others do or circumstances out of your control that make you stressed, and how others makes you feel. That belief is coming from a place of the victim and is self-imposed and self inflicted keeping you holding on to past stories that may not even be the whole truth but your version of that truth. If you believe stress is because of other people’s behaviour you are not aligned with your soul and the universe . . .that means you feel stress because of others in your life. This comes from ego and fear and is a low vibration that cause disease. Believing and living from this view means you can never be free and your happiness is based on others and situations around you. Because your happiness is determined by others or the life you must lead. If you don’t think your anxiety, depression, sadness and stress impact your physical health, think again. All of these emotions trigger chemical reactions in your body, which can lead to inflammation and a weakened immune system. You must find ways to cope and move beyond it….

Don’t let your mind bully your body into believing it must carry the burden of it’s worries.

Stress is however a reminder that you are not aligned with your souls purpose! As is any negative emotions. Any moment of stress is if you are in alignment with the energy of your ego mind and viewing the universe from a place of fear and without faith in the higher purpose.

We say things to ourselves like . . .’If I had more money’, or ‘If I was thinner’, or ‘If I had more Facebook likes’ or ‘If my business were bigger’ ‘If my boyfriend purposed’ Then I would not be stressed out, I would be happy . . .but this mindset will never lead to happiness. Because it comes from ego and lack, and a place of viewing your life as if others can affect or influence it . . . but the truth is YOU have full control to change that view and connect with your soul and the universal energy and flow in life. You have the power to drop the old patterns and stories and create a new story and anew way of being…

When do you know if you have done that?

You’ll feel happiness, inner peace, contentment, no need for external influences or the need to numb your emotions with TV, food, drugs, alcohol, over exercising, mindless activities…but happy with simple pleasure found naturally and from within.

If you aligned with ego life will always seem dissatisfying, without passion, holding on to grudges, not forgiving. Life seems chaotic, painful, hard and out of your control, as if life is treating you unfairly . . .you will feel exhausted and sick and the outcomes in life will not fulfil you and you will always need the next thing or material objects to get some sort of pleasure. i.e. external temporary happiness.

So when you learn to align with your souls purpose, you will have a life of abundance, prosperity, health and a change of circumstances. And you will see the flow and ease of how life can be.

The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.

So how do you overcome stress and be in stressful environments and around stressful people without connecting to that energy?

Seeing that it is story you have created and that you can release the stories NOW….witnessing the complete emotion and sitting with it in acceptance without trying to numb it. Using daily mediation practices, self care practices and learning to accept and love yourself and your current life situation just as you are. Faith and trust in the flow of the universe letting go of forcing life. Opening and aligning with your inner voice and connect to the universal energy. Stop pointing and blaming at others for causing your stress and see stress as a message or warning from your soul that you are not aligned. Stop what you are doing and breath and take a new path, try to align with what your inner voice is saying. I would suggest connecting to the highest vibration you can through using mindset coaching, a master, a spiritual group, a yoga class, a qigong class or spiritual practice you connect with. That may be a friend who lifts you up and inspires you…

WHY RAW LIVING FOODS! For Healing Diseases and Autism. . .

What’s the nutritional difference between cooked and raw foods?

When you cook vegetables, you change their chemical composition making them unable to be utilised by the body. Depending on the method and time, cooking reduces the amount of antioxidants in the plants.
This is especially true for water-soluble and heat-sensitive nutrients, such as vitamin C, glucosinolate and polyphenols. Cooking can reduce a nutrient’s ease of absorption into the body, making them useless for the body and it becomes a mucus forming food making it toxic for the body and thus causing inflammation.

We are all energy so eating foods high in energy, vitality and life force will help us have that energy and vitality ourselves. When you eat raw living alkalising foods you feel alive! The food moves through your body faster feeding your cells with high nutrients and a high water content hydrating you from the inside, better than plan water alone in some foods like cucumber, lettuce and watermelon. When you eat heavy, acidic, fatty cooked foods you want to sleep as your system is so overburdened and toxic it removes the energy and oxygen from the brain and muscles. And has to work hard to digest the heavy fatty foods sitting in the intestines, fermenting and dehydrating the body and causing an acidic state which leads to disease and cancer.

Food combining and why is it essential for health!-chart.
If your new to a plant based diet, even though you lose some nutrients value when cooking vegetables, I would still suggest building your vegetable intake up first moving to a 100% plant based diet and removing all animal products, with lightly steamed vegetables and greens. Then when you can and feel ready swapping cooked vegetables for as many raw vegetables as possible to help build your enzymes up in your gut and help PH balance your body, allowing for detoxification of the blood and lymphatic system – remembering fruit and raw vegetables and lots of greens are the only way to detox your body and remove heavy metals and mucus thus healing your body from disease and sickness. Cooked foods are mucus forming and lacking in enough nutrients to build your body to health. We are all so deficient these days with the quality of our soils, food, water and air . . . so to remove nutrients from our food by cooking it is not helpful. Also cooked foods are feeding the parasites and fungus our body are becoming imbalanced with because of it being to acidic. When the body is acidic and deficient in minerals and enzymes, diseases start and cells mutate into cancer. We want to make the body alkaline and thriving!

Knowing how detoxifying raw living foods are, start slowly when adding them in. Swapping 1 meal a day to a completely raw meal combined correctly, and build up. Or eating raw foods till dinner then a lightly steamed dinner. . . until you have regained enzymes to break the food down and the detox symptoms are manageable (this way of eating will not give you full healing properties as the cooked foods will stop you detoxifying fully). Or like me go 100% raw over night ride out the few days of detox and feel amazing and vibrant faster!

Either way increasing your raw greens, fruit and sweet young vegetables will benefit your body so much. You will see it in your skin, energy and vitality. If you can eat a food without doing anything to it bar peeling it then it’s a good raw food for the body. If you have to season it or cook it to make it palatable then it’s not our food.

How to Apply Essential Oils.

  • Topically, by mixing a few drops with fractionated coconut oil then applying to the base of the neck with a roller ball.
  • Adding a few drops to a diffuser (make sure the diffiser is in the same room as the child)
  • Adding one or two drops directly on the child. (Be careful with this as some oils are considered hot and can burn, so look at the label beforehand.) These are my favourite oils that I use daily.

Since many with ADD/ADHD, aspergers, or autism are highly sensitive to odours and sometime touch, do not force the application of oils if it is a negative experience as this will build experiential resentment towards their use in the future. Many times it is successful letting them make their own selection from a few choices of oils. Some kids with autism are particularly sensitive to smell and may resist the use of oils. Applying to the feet, even after they are asleep, can get you over this problem.

Here are my favourite oils for Autism, ADHD and ADD and to support ASD parents.

One of the first oils we tried was peppermint. My youngest used to get chest infections and high fever, and since I didn’t want to use medications. I used peppermint as a fever reducer and it works! It also helps with migraines, increasing oxygen if your tired and stomach pains. I put a drop right on his forehead.  But it is ideal to have a roller bottle with a mixture of the peppermint oil and a carrier oil like doTERRA fractionated coconut oil. You can then rub this mixture on the forehead or the back of the neck.

Another essential in your house and a regular in my home and handbag would be Lavender. It works great for relaxing and winding down before bedtime as it relaxes the nervous system. This is a great oil for those kids that can’t go to bed or don’t sleep well during the night. Using lavender helps you sleep longer at night, it also helps you sleep deeper. Lavender alone may not be enough for you so I would suggest for those really wired kids using Vetiver too. I put the diffuser on at night and this helps as well as putting some in a spray bottle with water to mist the pillow cases and sheets or dab it directly on the pillow or their soft toy. Lavender is great for cuts as it stops the bleeding, and for bites, eczema (use in the bath or with a carrier oil) and bruises. You can also add it to your face cream for extra moisture too ladies!

Vetiver as I just mentioned is amazing for deep sleep and great for those who have insomnia. Vetiver is psychologically grounding, calming, and stabilising for the nervous system. It helps with night terrors, restlessness, balancing emotions and ADHD. It was studied by Dr. Terry Friedmann for improving children’s behavior with ADD and ADHD in 100% of children in his study aged between 6-14. It may help people cope with stress and recover better from emotional trauma and shock. This oil helps quiet an overactive, exhausted or stressed mind. Also, it a great choice in helping to control anger, irritability, or neurotic behavior. We have found it helpful for calming William from his meltdowns when he was younger and currently if he gets over excited or worried and his nervous system gets overwhelmed. Watch how they source this amazingly powerful oil here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFYFgNSxYxk For school children that need help during the school day or may have ADD or need improved concentration, a necklace with a pendant that will absorb the oil can make it available all day or a sandalwood necklace that will absorb the oil or even dabbing some on there shirt collar.

Cedarwood I use in combination with Lavender. Cedarwood helps to stimulate the pituitary and pineal glands. It can also aid in increasing melatonin levels naturally starting to calm the kids down ready for dinner, bath and bed routine. It also can help with good sleep at night and focus during the next day. I pick the kids up from school when they are tired but excited and this if not managed can lead to meltdowns as they are often hungry too. So I hang my ‘smelly balls’ http://www.cocodaydream.com.au/smellyballshop in my car with cedarwood and lavender on them and within 5 minutes of them being in the car they both start calming down and talking about there day. If they are not at school I use this combination in my diffuser. Cedarwood is also great for edema and achy legs.

Frankincense the king of oils and my favourite!! It’s my go to oil for everything from cuts, anti-ageing and skin issues. It is extremely helpful in regenerating cells, calming and relaxing and promoting higher levels of consciousness in mediation as it stimulates the limbic system of the brain. This part of the brain controls instincts and mood and helps with epilepsy. It is very good at bringing a hyper or excited child down into his or her body and grounding them again. You can get it in a roller ball blend called InTune which is great to carry for trips to the supermarket or outings that might send your child off into a meltdown or into stimming. InTune is a special blend (Amyris, Frankincense, Lime, Patchouli, Roman Chamomile, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang) prepared to enhance focus and support healthy thought processes, good for homework and concentration at school or the office. Don’t be put of with the price of frankincense as it is such an all round oil it will be an essential to your families needs.

Helichrysum italicum is considered a medicinal plant with many promising pharmacological activities because it operates as a natural antibiotic, antifungal and antimicrobial. Allergies, acne, colds, coughs, skin inflammation, wound healing, constipation, indigestion and Acid Reflux, liver diseases, gallbladder disorders, inflammation of the muscles and joints, infections, candida, insomnia, stomachaches
and bloating . . . wow thats one oil! yup its up there with frankincense and the go to oil and a must for an ASD family.

For frustration, impatience, and anger use oils and blends that calm. Like Balance, Serenity, Lavender, Ylang Ylang. Applying to the feet, back of the neck, behind the knees, and diffusion are all suggested.

You can make up blends to help with calming, relaxation and serenity within the home. This is one of my favourite to make up in a rollerball.

14 drops Vetiver
5 drops Ylang Ylang
3 drops Frankincense
2 drops Clary Sage
1 drop Marjoram
5 drops Lavender

Fill the remaining space of the roller bottle with doTERRA fractionated coconut oil.

Another blend you can make up yourself for meltdowns is:

15 drops Peppermint
20 drops Frankincense
85 drops Vetiver
15 drops Helichrysum
10 drops Bergamot
10 drops Sandalwood
5  drops Cinnamon
10 drops Lemon (it facilities absorption)

onGAURD is the only medical first aid kit you will ever need! It helps boost your immune systems and protect against flu, colds, and viruses. As this is a hot oil (meaning it feels warm on the skin, always dilute it for kids. Adults can have it neat on their feet) Simple add 5 drops to  15 drops of fractionated coconut and rub on your kids feet at night once they have gone to bed. You can also get beedlets that you swallow too and throat sweets or you can make up a throat gargle with it too. You can dilute it with water and use it to clean your kitchen with and it’s ideal for your diffusers, killing of all bad bacteria and microbes and moulds and kill air bourne pathogens. It’s great to clear stuck energy too and I often use a spray bottle with water to clear a room. It works as great hand sanitiser and i make up a small 15ml spray bottle  with 10 drops of oil and carry it in my bag.

The doTERRA Flu Bomb. “It really, really works!! A more natural alternative to the toxic flu shot.”

  • 3 drops  Oregano 
  • 5 drops  OnGuard 
  • 5 drops Tee Tree (Melaleuca) 
  • 5 drops  Lemon

 

~OR~

  • 3 drops Peppermint
  • 2 drops Oregano
  • 2 drops Frankincense
  • 2 drops OnGuard

Put this in a Veggie Cap and take every 3 to 4 hours or as needed.

Another way is applying topically with fractionated coconut oil. This is great for using on young children.

Another way is for children to put oregano, melaleuca and OnGuard essential oil blend on their feet (1 drop of each and apply every 2-3 hours).
You can also can add 2 to 3 drops of On Guard essential oil blend.

Basil is great for those kids on the spectrum who are low functioning as it stimulates the nervous system and wakes up the brain, and helps with concentration, increases focus. We used this on Edward lots when he was behind on his fine and gross motor skills and speech.

Oregano the queen of oils. It’s anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and a anti-septic to the respiratory system also antiviral and an immune stimulant. There is no need for antibiotics from the Doctor when you have this oil. 1-2 weeks of taking this oil before winter and you will sale through with no nasty bugs. If you come down with gastro, a virus or cold or flu start taking this for 3-4 weeks. It is also very good for wounds and fungus infections.

Tee Tree (Melaleuca) is amazing for ear infections. Either run a bath and get you child to bath there whole head in covering the art or simple place some diluted around the outside of the ear. In extreme cases you could add 1 drop in a carrier oil and drop it in to the ear canal it self.

Breathe is the perfect blend for asthma, croup, colds, exercising, coughs, tightness in the chest or for sore throats and the elimination of bacteria and viruses from the body as it opens up the airways. Simple put a diffuser in your child’s room with 5-10 drops in and let them fall asleep. You could add a few drops to there pillow too.

These oils are mazing and along side a healthy raw vegan lifestyle, fresh air and clean water they are there to support your families needs.

Raw Mexican Nut Free “TACOS”!

Mexican style raw tacos are a favourite in our home for our special treat meal . . .you will love them too…great messy finger food for the kids and packed full of flavour while being healthy and low in fat and the option to make them starch free too. Dress them up with toppings or just eat them simply . . .

What you will need:

Makes for 4-6 serves.

The “Taco” mixture:

  • 2 corn on the cobs kernels removed (optional if you are no starches at present)
  • 6 semi dried tomatoes soaked
  • 2 dates soaked and pitted
  • 4 fresh large tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 punnet cherry tomatoes quartered
  • 2 sticks celery one for the blender and 1 finally diced
  • 1/2 tsp smoky paprika
  • 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 8 brown mushrooms and a pinch of dried mushroom if you have it
  • 1 finally diced zucchini
  • 1/2 red capsicum diced
  • juice of 1 lime and zest
  • 1 loose cup coriander chopped
  • 1/2 loose cup mint chopped
  • 1/4 loose cup parsley chopped
  • soaking water (about 2-3 tbs)

To serve:

  • Iceberg lettuce or coz lettuce to serve as tacos
  • 1 cup finally shredded red cabbage
  • Sprouts or micro herbs
  • Sliced avocado
  • Pesto or dip (optional)

 

How to make these:

  1. Soak the dates and tomatoes in very little water till soft (you use the water in the mixture so only use a little, so you keep all the flavour.
  2. In a blender add the 4 large tomatoes, 1/2 the mushrooms, celery, dates, semi dried tomatoes, cumin, paprika’s and soaking water and blend till smooth but still with texture. Then add the remaining mushrooms and pulse till textured.
  3. In a medium bowl add the corn kernels, 1 stick of diced celery, diced capsicum, diced zucchini, lime zest and juice, chopped herbs, quartered cherry tomatoes and stir together.
  4. Add the tomato sauce from step 2. and stir again.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the lettuce cups which I would suggest lining with shredded red cabbage…and top with your favourite toppings!

This mixture gets more flavoursome with time, so I suggest making it in the morning. This will also allow the mixture to set and the liquid to drain off allowing the “tacos” or lettuce cups not to get wet…

Finish with micro herbs or sprouts and slices of avocado or vegan chipotle mayonnaise or vegan sour cream….I used coriander pesto! Dairy and soy free sour cream.

Cleaning out the chemicals from your home.

So you have started drinking green smoothies and eating more vegetables buying more organic fruit and vegetables and you even might be looking at fermenting your own vegetables, or removing grains from your diet. But what about the chemicals you put on the outside of your skin? Your skin is your largest organ and it goes through a lot, but also absorbs a lot. The fumes and toxins in the atmosphere you can’t control unless you are lucky enough to live away from most of us. But the ones you bring into your home and use on your skin you can control.

Now I’m the first to put on make up, do my nails and dye my hair . . . it’s not about giving up on your appearance just making healthier choices. There are so many great products out there now and even since I started in the organic industry there’re fantastic and stand up against most of the chemical versions.

Becoming used to reading labels and asking questions is key. Remember “Natural” “Organic” and “Sensitive Skin” can be labelled on anything. Another shocking fact I leant to from watching ‘The Human Experiment’ that I strongly recommend every one watch, is that a chemical can be released on to the market, and on the shelves in your local store without any testing to prove its safe!! If YOU the consumer wants to prove its unsafe then you have to fight them in long expensive court battles to win and get it removed. The other thing most people don’t realise is, that say your shower tile foam has been proved safe (which it most certainly has not) when you mix it with your shower screen spray it might then create  another chemical that the vapours are then toxic. You risk your own health using such highly toxic chemical in your home.

Here are a few nasties to look out for: (keep in your purse and check against your products) some you will know and some will be disguised.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate: these are the most toxic ingredients on this list. When used in combination with other chemicals, they can form nitrosamines, a deadly class of carcinogen. They are used to clean engines, garage floors and at car washes. AND still the most popular ingredients for makeup, shampoo and conditioner and toothpaste. Exposure causes eye damage, depression, diarrhea and many other ailments.

Acrylamide: Found in many hand and face creams. Studies suggest it may cause breast tumors.

Talc: has been linked to ovarian and testicular cancer. It can be found in makeup, baby and adult powders and foundation. (so say no to talc when you have your wax ladies)

Fragrance: is a euphemism for nearly 4,000 different ingredients. Most “fragrances” are synthetic and are either cancer-causing or otherwise toxic. Exposure to fragrances has been shown to affect the central nervous system. “Fragrances” are found in most shampoos, deodorants, sunscreens, skincare and body care products.

Alcohol: ethanol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and SD alcohol and is very drying and irritating for the skin. Alcohols strip away the skin’s natural acid mantle, making you more vulnerable to bacteria, moulds and viruses. May promote brown spots and premature aging of skin.

PEG (Polyethylene Glycol): PEG’s are most commonly used in spray-on oven cleaners and in many hair and skin products. PEG’s main fuctions are to dissolve oil and grease. Thus, on the body, they take the protective oils off the skin and hair, making them more vulnerable to other toxins.

Dioxane: (a synthetic derivative of coconut). Widely used in skin care products. Usually contains high concentrations of 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin. 1,4-dioxane is considered a chemical “known to cause cancer.” It is a by-product of the cancer-causing petrochemical ethylene oxide, which is used as part of a process called ethoxylation, which makes harsh ingredients milder.

1,4-Dioxane: is also suspected of being a kidney toxicant, neurotoxicant and respiratory toxicant, among others.

Mineral oil: liquid paraffin, paraffin wax, petrolatum – a petroleum by-product that coats the skin to keep in moisture. It clogs the pores, interferes with skin’s ability to eliminate toxins, encouraging acne and other disorders. Can cause photosensitivity and strips the natural oils from the skin causing chapping and dryness, also premature ageing. Any mineral oil derivative can be contaminated with cancer causing PAH’s (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons). Skincare manufacturers use mineral oil because it’s cheap.

DEA (Diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), TEA (Triethanolamine): These three chemicals are hormone-disrupting chemicals that can form cancer-causing agents, research indicates a strong link to liver and kidney cancer. They are commonly found in shampoos, soaps, bubble baths, sunscreens and facial cleansers. It’s often the sun burning the sunscreen and mostirizers that causes skin cancer not the sun its self.

Phthalates and Parabens
Banned by the European Union in 2003, phthalates and parabens are a group of chemicals commonly used as preservatives in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. They keep hairsprays sticky and bacteria and fungus out of things like nail polish and perfume. Both have demonstrated themselves to be carcinogenic and particularly linked to breast cancer endocrine system, as well as causing allergic reactions and skin rashes.Also known asinterfere with the body’s endocrine system, as well as causing allergic reactions and skin rashes.Also known as methyl, propyl, butyl, and ethyl widely used as a preservative in skin care products (including moisturizers)

Phenol carbolic acid: Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

Rancid natural emollients: Natural oils used in skin care products should be cold pressed. When oils are refined, they are stripped of vital nutrients and also contain poisonous trans fatty acids. Natural oils can also go rancid if kept past their use-by date.

Toluene: Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

Triclosan: An anti-bacterial agent, widely used in skin care products (also used in weed killers). There is evidence to suggest triclosan may contribute to creating strains of bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics, due to its wide use in skin care products. (no anti-bacterial hand wash, or hand sanitizers or soaps)

Petrolatum: is a petrochemical that contains two well-known carcinogens: Benzo-A-Pyrene and Benzo-B-Fluroanthene. As you might imagine from a petroleum derivative, petrolatum prevents the skin breathing and excreting.

I know this list seems long but they are good at adding chemicals under new names and adding them into the organic natural ranges too.

I have changed to Butter nail polish and Prissy nail polish as a better alternative. And there are more natural nail polish removers on the market now.

 I change my products especially my shampoo and conditioner depending on where I buy it but they always are free from the nasties.

I love Theres Kerr Divine tooth mouse and mouth wash and her deodorant really works and my husband loves it too (that was hard getting him away from roll on cheap brands).

Vanessa Megan essential oils pufume as I had not worn perfume for 2 years and missed it so was so happy to find this one to use form time to time, I also use doTERRA essential oils to make up my own perfume blends.

I use Colloidal silver for many beauty needs and as a natural Anti-biotics to. I use Witch Hazel as a skin toner and for burns and doTERRA Tea tree for spots or fungal infections, ear aches or water clogged ears and on my nails. Good old coconut oil comes out a lot for a moisturiser to oil pull and mixed with Bi-carb as a heavy duty deodorant for the gym.  Apple cider Vinegar is great toner for the skin and removes sunscreen and lovely in the bath to deeply clean. I use Epsom Salt and Bi-Carb in the bath with doTERRA lavender oil. Cocolove makes https://www.cocoloco.net.au her own sunscreen which is only natural ingredients and really works as a great Sunscreens for the days that are above 25 and for when kinder insist on the boys wearing it, but mostly we wear hats and cover our skin and use avocado oil, hazelnut and coconut oil which a natural sun blocks of unto SPF 15. Short burst of exposer daily without sunscreen protects your skin from burning and gives you that much needed vitamin D.  (since stopping using mainstream chemical sunscreens I no longer burn and have red sore patches)

I love dry brushing to remove toxins and exfoliate my skin and use a glove I can wash or a brush and change it regulay.  Followed by magnesium oil to keep my levels up or magnesium flake baths.

I go to a organic hair salon in Mullumbimby to have my hair dyed and they use as natural as possible hair dyes.

As with food, swap 1 product a week and slowly make the changes. It’s not about rushing to buy it all and throwing everything out.

Using natural products in your home and removing all chemicals and supermarket bands may be the missing key in gaining optimum health and overall wellness you need. Our skin is our largest organ and absorbs every chemical we come into contact with.

When our health was really bad the boys and I were sensitive to even the most natural of products and we washed our clothes with soap nuts and I cleaned the house with vinegar, lemon and bi-carb. Also to clean my house I use the Essentail oil range from Natures Direct. They have a whole range for everything from glass cleaning to their amazing oven cleaner! It’s a concentrated oil that you dilute in water in the bottles they supply, so it last ages. They have brilliant cloths, mops and bits  and bobs to help. If there products work on my oven then they’ll work on any house!
