Understanding the Colon and Its Role in Your Health
Your digestive system is a ecosystem in itself. There are bacteria and yeasts that live in there in a balance that helps the body absorb all the nutrients. Those nutrients sustain all your body’s functions and give you energy throughout the day. Unfortunately, this balance is very fragile and it is often disrupted by certain factors. Contrary to many peoples beliefs and fade diets it is not about killing off anything but restoring balance that is the key to health…
The things that can imbalance your body are:

All these factors can deteriorate and effect the health of your colon. They allow the level of good bacteria to drop. And when left untreated, all the harmful bacteria can break the protective barrier of the colon and release toxins in it (leaky gut).
Once the bad bacteria go through the protective barrier of the colon, they will affect the health of all the other organs too.
The digestive tract is home to about 450 bacteria and yeast species.
Here are some of the symptoms associated with a stressed colon:
Fatigue and brain fog
Agitation and anxiety
Blood in the stools
Why is colon health so important? And why is it not just a 2 week juice cleanse or magic pill to heal from it?
Colon health is important because an imbalance between the yeasts and the good bacteria can lead to a weak immune system and malnutrition. That can also cause autoimmune diseases like thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis or Crohn’s disease.
When we start the long journey to detoxify our bodies through fasting and raw living foods, we start to take the pressure from the body and give it chance to heal itself, this takes time and consistaency to achieve.
Fortunately, there are quite a few doTERRA essential oils to support colon health along the way! They can be used along side a cellular detoxification plan and natural lifestyle…
One way or another, more than 80% of the people suffer from some kind of colon problem…even the ones who declare the don’t! Some have an unbalanced flora that can lead to infections. While others suffer from food sensitivity, which translates into food intolerance or allergies. Others its skin conditions or mental health or presenting with Autism ADHD symptoms.
If you are new to Essentail oils you can start with applying the oils below with fractionated coconut oil to the bottoms of the feet first. The bottoms of the feet are highly absorptive and a safe location for the application of any essential oil especially in children.
Then you can move to applying them to the abdomen in a clockwise motion with castor oil or coconut oil.
If you are not using daily or regular enemas or colonics, I would suggest to start as if you are removing harmful foods and adding detoxing practices… but you are not helping your body get rid of these toxins fats enough you can cause more issues and what we call re-toxing. So once you have built up a tolerance with your essential oils and using them regularly…you can start using them prior to the enema or colonic to encourage a comfortable release.
Another way if you don’t feel comfortable to do an enema or you can’t achieve this with children is to make your own essential oils suppositories. By using organic coconut oil in an ice cube tray, then adding between 2 to 5 drops of essential oils per cube (I’d suggest a silicone tray). Then inserting 1 as far up inside your anus as you can to allow the oils to penetrate in to your colon.
Here are my suggestions for the oils to benefit you condition:
THESE OILS CAN BE USED IN VEGGIE CAPSULE TO TO GET DIRECTLY INTO THE GUT TO..
DOSAGE – Applying 5-10 drops per litre of water you use….making sure it is stirred. I apply my oils to the last water that goes in so it stays in longer. Ask your colonic practitioner to add your oils just before the treatment finishes.
Using essential oils in your enema not only supports your colon health and healing journey, but it really make your shit smell like roses…or rosemary or ginger to hahah!
NOTE – add fears lemon juice if you are constipated or 1 tsp Bi- Carb powder if you are very loose in your stools. You can also add your herbal tincture or teas like Parasite M form Dr Morse to enemas to. I DO NOT RECOMMEND COFFEE ENEMAS they are far to stimulating unless you are in stage 4 cancer and need to heal faster.
How to do a enema:
-Add warm water to your enema bag or bucket then add your chosen supportive oils or herbs.
Hang your enema bag/bucket about 18 in. to 3 ft above your rectum. A good tool for this is too hang it from a shower or up high on a shelf.
-You should have a clamp on your enema the to slow the water up or down.I find downward dog or dolphin or putting my legs up on the edge of the bath suits me best, but some say lying on their sides or even lying flat works for them. A good starting portion is on your right side.
-Insert nozzle/colon tube tip into your anus, using a lubricant like coconut oil
-Inject solution into rectum slowly, and take as much as possible , refill bag as needed or until it becomes uncomfortable to take any more solution. Somedays you will be able to take more than others.
-Massage abdomen in counter-clockwise direction this will help the solution higher into the colon.
-When bag is empty or no more fluid can be taken remove nozzle/rectal tube
Lie on each side for 5 to 10 minutes, while massaging your abdomen.
Now you can move to the toilet and release the enema, continuing to massage your abdomen.
When expelling the enema:
-Massage abdomen in a clockwise direction this will help move the solution back toward the rectum and anus. This helps with expelling the enema water and helps move the solution and feces towards the rectum and out the anus.
NOTE: when doing enemas on kids use an iPad or favourite game to distract them lying them on their side on a towel, keeping them warm and calm and off cause ask their permission…we called them ‘tummy washes’ and used them daily when my children were extremely constipated and very toxic. Then place them on the toilet with books till they empty out. We use them now from time to time if they have virus or headaches or need an emotion realise.
When I resist doing an enema, I ask myself ‘what am I not prepared to let go of today?’
When I do an enema and the water comes straight out and I cannot hold it in ‘I wonder what I’m rigid and uptight about today?’
When I can hold 2 litres in with time to move around before releasing the water, I ask myself ‘how can I go deeper into healing today and shed more than I ever have?’
Fevers, cold/flu, diarrhoea, vomiting are all clever mechanism the body uses to heal itself. These are also very common healing crisis. Or can be from an overburden body trying to realise out..ever noticed that you get a “cold” after a big week of indulgent foods or a stressful week at work. Unfortunately most people will suppress it instead of assisting what the body is trying to do and you don’t want to get into suppressing minor symptoms like that, as it leads to more issues down the road. I see this a lot of people even in the natural health community, because they are still trying to fix symptoms instead of understanding the cause. This is still an allopathic approach disguised as natural health.
Whatever you use to suppress symptoms (even herbs or natural treatment) will not improve health in the long run, because the body’s elimination process has been stopped you are working against the bodies instincts.
When we suppress, all we are doing is ignoring the cause or the message the body is sending us. I understand symptom can be quite annoying and it’s hard to see your child “unwell” but if you know exactly what is going on with the body, you can assist it in what it’s trying to do, without obstructing the flow of energy….Intuitive self healing!
So what is a fever exactly in many cases? I can be due to dehydration, stress, a rise in blood pressure, etc. In most cases a fever is the body trying to dissolve and move stagnant mucus in the brain and sinus area. Please note if your fever is to high consult a specialist.
What can you do to help yourself?
You can get rid of colds, flus, fevers in about a couple hours following these procedures , but sometimes it takes a day or two depending on how much discharge the body is trying to get rid of or how much stress the body is under. It will definitely shorten the severity and duration of whatever you are dealing with.
When the body is dealing with an acute ailment, it naturally looses its desire to eat. Follow that, don’t fight it….don’t listen to the tails of “eat something you will feel better”. If you do feel hungry try to limit your intake to fruit juices only or coconut water. High water fruit like watermelon and grapes can be eaten as well or even a soup depending on the person’s detoxification plan, but you want to give a rest to you digestive system so your body’s energy can go to healing instead of processing foods. Also do not listen to the old tails of “toast will soak it up” the bread feeds the pathogens, blocks the body and seems to make you feel better, but in fact you push it back down for another time…
Using essential oils to cool the body like peppermint, but not stopping the fever is great. Adding 1 drop with a carrier oil to the soles of your feet or placing 2 drops in a salt bath for children.
Drink plenty of liquids (preferably natural juices of the sub acid and acid category or my lymph buster) as this will help the body flush out toxins at a faster rate.
You want to open the bowels, especially with a fever. If there is a lot of mucus in the sinus/head area, there is definitely too much in the transverse colon. Enemas are great in this case even twice a day while you feel congested.
Instead of cold bath, think sweat bath if possible. You want to sweat out the toxins as well. This can be done by drinking some ginger tea and then taking a hot bath. Afterwards, go to bed and cover yourself with a blanket to sweat out the toxins. Or go to sauna and cold plunge if you feel up to it.

Avoid using cough suppressants (even herbs that do this) instead use decongestants or expectorant herbs like mullein, eucalyptus, Echinacea, etc. especially if you get green, brown or yellow (thick) mucus coming out. That is a good sign. White is acute, yellow is sub acute, green is virus and toxic, brown is chronic, black is degenerative.
Often coughs that linger and have been shown not to be a virus can be upper respiratory, due the cough respiratory being in the ear nose and throat and if these areas are congested with mucus…cleaning them with ear candles or room temperature organic olive oil perpetuated into the ear canal for 15 minutes each side and massaged so the oil dislodged the wax and draws it out. This can also be done with a clean sock filled with sea salt and tired at the top, then heated in a pan and gentle placed on the ear for 10 minutes each side, with eucalyptus oils dropped on to the warmed sock. This will draw toxins out to.
Also if you get swollen lymph nodes, use lymphatic and kidney herbs. Good lymphatics are plantain, cleavers, red clover, pau darco and good kidney herbs are nettle, cornsilk, chapparal.

Getting healthy is not about what you add on to your diet…but about what you eliminate from your diet.. I would start getting healthy today and not put it off so you avoid the suffering in the future. Any kind of heads symptoms are usually related to a very toxic G.I. track because the head is connected to the stomach. We don’t need cooked foods of any kind to meet our nutritional requirements, or health needs. You are a fruigivore species by your anatomy and physiology. The further you move away from eating fruit in it’s Raw and natural state and the more you put these obstructions in the body, the more health problems you will have sooner or later. If you have to cook a food in order to digest it…it is not suitable for your body. Every animal in nature eats their food raw by natural design. Humans are not an exception. The human anatomy is not designed to consume food that has to be cooked. We are frugivores so we are designed for fresh ripe fruits in there raw and natural state.
But people can and have survive of these foods and live long life’s when fire came in and they needed too…. and they thrive more then someone consuming animal products BUT OUR SENSTIVE KIDS NEED ADVANCED NUTRTION TO UNLOCK THEM AND REMOVE TOXINS. I can recommend using starches in the evening meals only while transitioning to this lifestyle and or would also consider a few steamed sweet potatoes pr pumpkin for someone extremely toxic during a detox to slow it down considerably if the die off was too much. The body is designed for simple sugars found in fructose not complex sugars. Complex sugars found in starchy foods, leave behind a lot of metabolic waste and create a sticky gluey like substance in the bowel wall that blocks absorption an coats the villi. This creates mucoid plaque. Starches like root vegetables and grains are also fungal promoting foods and fermentation causes candida overgrowth in the body and SIBO.
Children before there immune system has been strengthened should not eat starches and any child who has compromise gut should avoid starches.
There is a good reason why someone who goes on a 100% raw food diet starts to crave starchy foods. When someone craves starchy foods like potatoes, breads, rice and flour products on a detox program it’s because they’re pulling on fungal beds and the parasites are trying to survive. These microbes and parasites are dying and they have consciousness like any other living beings. They eat and waste in our bodies and they crave these foods badly so they could survive. Whenever you get cravings for these foods it’s most likely because candida is getting out of control because of fermentation…..or it’s because there struggling to survive and are dying. The best way to overcome these cravings is to be consistent on a raw food diet and never cheat (I know how hard that is)…that’s why eating high fruit will help you. If you want to get these cravings under control while you detox you can look into a juice cleanse to flush out your bowels for 3-14 days. Also take a good anti-parasitic herbal formula or homeopathy to kill of the parasites and candida while you detox the lymphatic system. The root cause of this problem the majority of the time is because the adrenal glands are not functioning properly and they are responsible for sugar metabolism. If your not metabolizing fruit sugar well you have really bad adrenal function, and most likely tons of candida overgrowth in your body. So the main focus is to try and encourage adrenal gland function with fruits, fasting, detoxification and meditation as STRESS plays a massive part. When the adrenal glands start to function again then your blood sugar should come back in balance and you won’t ferment your sugars…. candida will balance out in the body and the cravings for starches will cease to exist. I PROMISE YOU…I can now go to a bread ship or cakes stand and not feel any urge to eat it….I still crave cooked sweet potatoes from time to time as die off happens.
If you have high fungus and sulphur in your body and your eating root veggies and other starches then your going to have a lot of trouble metabolizing complex sugars vs fruit sugars…thus you will have massive amounts of candida issues. Even veggies will be more difficult then fruits. Fruits are the best option for detoxification, sugar metabolism issues and getting to the root problem. Fixing the adrenal glands that are responsible for the metabolism of sugars will resolve the blood sugar fermentation issue.
I find using dried fruits to transition from comforting starchy foods helps and eating bananas as they fill you up…

The first thing I ask my clients is what are you stools like? I talk about shit often hahah!
Your bowel movements will tell you a lot about weather you have mucoid plaque build up in your large bowel (which we all have!).
Are your bowel movements thin, and not full? And are you finding undigested food in your stools? This is your pancreas being suppressed by acidosis and your foods are not being absorbed in the villi in the small bowel. This is because of mucus and sulphur blocking absorption. Starchy foods stick like glue in the Villi. Detox will resolve this issue in time, if you get your bowels moving well and are eating plenty of astringent fruits and your fats are low. Contrary to belief vegetables like celery alone, will not scrub this stuff out… you need the fruits and fruit juice for this. It takes time to clean this stuff out, as I say often…and it is in this muciod plague that the parasites and fungus and yeast thrive!!
When you have been eating starchy cooked and processed foods for the majority of your life as I had. It takes time to get improved absorption. You’ve got to be at least 80% fruit based, if you want to resolve this issue faster.
Grapes, watermelon, berries and citrus fruits and juice are the best at pulling it out. Along with enemas and dry fasting…
Be patient and allow your body to break down as much as it wants to because you can’t fix Malabsorption with supplements, nutrition, fats and proteins. This issue of malabsorption must be fixed through detoxification. If you have lots of mucoid plaque, sulphur, and fungus in the body then it may take a while to get this stuff out, I know for me it is taken years and sometimes I feel like I will never get there…but I know it takes time. The acids and mucus is the root of all these obstructive health conditions especially for my youngest son Edward. Starches will only make Malabsorption worse, because starch sticks to the bowels like paper machete stopping nutrients getting in.
Along with the above astringent fruits I recommend a GI Broom powder or making your own.
Take ½ tsp for children 2-3 tsp for adults in juice or water each night…
To make this:
250 grams Psyllium Husk
2 tbs Activated Charcoal
2 tbs Bentonite Clay
2 tbs Slippery Elm Powder
*Option to add any herbs you like.

I tried using many types of probiotics and supplements over the years on my kids, clients and myself… I’ve done candida diets and yeast cleanses and even tried adding more yeast in and other crazy things!
The balance within your body such as yeasts, funguses, worms, parasites, mucus, acids, protein plaques, microbes, virus etc….must get detoxed and removed out of your body to get to the root of health. In order to change the environment in the body we must clean out the old not just ‘add’ in new. Supplementing with “pills” in a body with a backed up septic tank will not get you true health.
When the body fails to function in areas such as digestion, absorption, utilization and elimination. Trying to fix the problem with an isolated pill, supplement or adding large amounts of one bacteria and one mineral will not bring the body balance…. especially as they are none organic in it’s holistic structure (no longer a whole food but a part of a food that has been chemically changed and isolated) is only going to feed the body with just another foreign invader creating more imbalance and stress. I think of the phrase in movies when they say ‘magic comes with a price’…well so does supplementation….
The body is designed to utilize holistic chemistry so thinking a supplement created in a lab by big pharma will do more then what a whole organic fresh ripe piece of fruit can’t do….is not thinking from a place that nature provides us with all we need, and it does!
Supplements suppress the function of the endocrine glands and throw the body out of balance…
‘Probiotics are dead fermented chemistry not designed for the body’ says Dr Herbet Shelton. The body is designed to create healthy gut bacteria from the foods we are designed to eat and our environment. When we detox the body and turn on the endocrine glands, everything goes back to balance. When we get back to nature and simply eat the foods our bodies are biologically designed to eat….the body will create healthy natural bacteria to fight of the microbe that cause obstructions naturally.
Probiotics and fermented foods like Kefir and Sauerkrauts only aggravate and make candida symptoms worse…I know that it controversial, as they are marketed as gut healing foods. We need some left in the body but for it to be at blanched ratio…
So if you have skin issues, weak yellow brittle nails, dry hair, bloating, gas or loose stools…you have a fungal imbalance.
The simpler we can look out how the body is designed to function optimally the more we will understand that supplementing is another way of masking a symptom and not addressing the root cause….just like prescription drugs!
Often these supplements are made from sister or cousin companies of BIG PHARMA…..just think about that for a moment with where the motivation comes from?
The best way to get rid of yeast overgrowths is to work on the adrenal glands with herbs/homeopathy and a raw living foods diet high in ripe fruits and the correct food combinations. If you think you have a candida overgrowth you should also avoid or never eat starches processed or in there whole food state. Starches are fungal formers and candida loves foods that create a lot of mould, such as starches and dairy products. If you have candida I would suggest keeping your fats to below 5 % of your nutritional plan too as the fats in the system will stop fruits being digested, and cause fermentation of the healthy fruits. High fruits, low protein and low fats are the best way to heal the body.
It’s very common for someone to crave breads, nuts and cheese when they have fungal problems….because the yeast thrive on these foods because the fermentation process takes place very quickly.
The goal to get healthy and to create balance in the body is to alkalize the body and to get the kidneys filtering and everything will come into balance on its own…not needing one extra mineral…with the exception of magnesium due to our soils and possible B12 until your body can utilise it from the organic fruits and vegetables and produce it in your gut.
Fruits, berries, melons, greens and herbs that promote detoxification is the best way to bring balance and alkalinity to the body with a daily mediation practice to boost your immune system and complementary remedies like essential oils, homeopathy and herbs. Yeast, parasites, fungusus cannot thrive in an alkaline body, nether can any pathogens and foreign invaders and viruses.
Dr Robert Morse teaches that there is only 2 sides of chemistry and that’s acid and alkaline. When you get on the alkaline side of chemistry and you detox the acids that are suppressing the lymphatic system, blocking the flow of energy and causing disease… then “nutritional ” supplementation becomes a void modality that was created by a mind and industry that doesn’t understand the lymphatic system and true healing like we do in Natural Hygiene.

Detoxification is the best way to get to the root of the problem and if we are stuck on supplementation with PILLS, powders, supplements and thinking that we are adding in “Nutrition” …thinking that’s going to clean up the problem! Then we have been fully mistaking by so called “Health Experts” that are thinking no different then a medical Doctor that prescribes a drug to treat a symptom, not addressing the cause. So many of these healthy natural supplements and nutritional meal replacement systems are produced by big pharmaceuticals companies that make the medicines and drugs. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR LONG TERM HEALTH JUST ABOUT MAKING MONEY AND TEMPORALLY GIVING YOU THE SENSATION OF HEALTH.
The best supplement you can give your body is creating kidney filtration to drain the waste, so that he body can go on to thrive in proper homeostasis, balance and alkalinity. This takes time I have been on this journey for years….I hold strong that I am in it for the long term health and not quick gains. I picture myself a health 60 year old and smile with knowing this is the right path to healing.

These 4 fruits are very high in fat, but are of the best healthiest kind. However, you should eat these foods in moderation. If you are consuming a lot of fruit or you will end up with insulin problems. A low fat raw food diet usually works best for most people look into the 80/10/10 Diet. If you are a slow oxidizer and have weight to loose you should aim for 10% fat in your diet or less. If you are eating a 2000 calorie diet this works out to be about 22 grams of fat per day and this adds up quicker than you might think. One avocado has about 25 grams of fat and one olive has 1 gram of fat. If you are a fast oxidizer you can eat a higher percentage of 20% but be careful not to consume too much high sugar fruit or stay high fat for too long.

How to Apply Essential Oils.
Topically, by mixing a few drops with fractionated coconut oil then applying to the base of the neck with a roller ball.
Adding a few drops to a diffuser (make sure the diffiser is in the same room as the child)
Adding one or two drops directly on the child. (Be careful with this as some oils are considered hot and can burn, so look at the label beforehand.) These are my favourite oils that I use daily.
Since many with ADD/ADHD, aspergers, or autism are highly sensitive to odours and sometime touch, do not force the application of oils if it is a negative experience as this will build experiential resentment towards their use in the future. Many times it is successful letting them make their own selection from a few choices of oils. Applying to the feet, even after they are asleep, or put the diffuser inn the hall way to start or in their room after they go to sleep…there are ways can get you over this problem.
Here are my favourite oils to support Autism, ADHD and ADD and to support ASD parents.
One of the first oils we tried was peppermint. My youngest used to get chest infections and high fever, and since I didn’t want to use medications. I used peppermint as a fever reducer and it works! It also helps with migraines, increasing oxygen if your tired and stomach pains. I put a drop right on his forehead. But it is ideal to have a roller bottle with a mixture of the peppermint oil and a carrier oil like doTERRA fractionated coconut oil. You can then rub this mixture on the forehead or the back of the neck.
Another essential in your house and a regular in my home and handbag would be Lavender. It works great for relaxing and winding down before bedtime as it relaxes the nervous system. This is a great oil for those kids that can’t go to bed or don’t sleep well during the night. Using lavender helps you sleep longer at night, it also helps you sleep deeper. Lavender alone may not be enough for you so I would suggest for those really wired kids using Vetiver too. I put the diffuser on at night and this helps as well as putting some in a spray bottle with water to mist the pillow cases and sheets or dab it directly on the pillow or their soft toy. Lavender is great for cuts as it stops the bleeding, and for bites, eczema (use in the bath or with a carrier oil) and bruises. You can also add it to your face cream for extra moisture too ladies!
Vetiver as I just mentioned is amazing for deep sleep and great for those who have insomnia. Vetiver is psychologically grounding, calming, and stabilising for the nervous system. It helps with night terrors, restlessness, balancing emotions and ADHD. It was studied by Dr. Terry Friedmann for improving children’s behavior with ADD and ADHD in 100% of children in his study aged between 6-14. It may help people cope with stress and recover better from emotional trauma and shock. This oil helps quiet an overactive, exhausted or stressed mind. Also, it a great choice in helping to control anger, irritability, or neurotic behavior. We have found it helpful for calming William from his meltdowns when he was younger and currently if he gets over excited or worried and his nervous system gets overwhelmed. Console Touch is one of my ultimate must have oils for kids. This oil has stopped more meltdowns than I can count and fast!! Console promotes feelings of comfort and hope during times of loss or sadness. Cedarwood I use in combination with Lavender. Cedarwood helps to stimulate the pituitary and pineal glands. It can also aid in increasing melatonin levels naturally starting to calm the kids down ready for dinner, bath and bed routine. It also can help with good sleep at night and focus during the next day. I pick the kids up from school when they are tired but excited and this if not managed can lead to meltdowns as they are often hungry too. So I hang my ‘smelly balls’ http://www.cocodaydream.com.au/smellyballshop in my car with cedarwood and lavender on them and within 5 minutes of them being in the car they both start calming down and talking about there day. If they are not at school I use this combination in my diffuser. Cedarwood is also great for edema and achy legs.
Frankincense the king of oils and my favourite!! It’s my go to oil for everything from cuts, anti-ageing and skin issues. It is extremely helpful in regenerating cells, calming and relaxing and promoting higher levels of consciousness in mediation as it stimulates the limbic system of the brain. This part of the brain controls instincts and mood and helps with epilepsy. It is very good at bringing a hyper or excited child down into his or her body and grounding them again. You can get it in a roller ball blend called InTune which is great to carry for trips to the supermarket or outings that might send your child off into a meltdown or into stimming. InTune is a special blend (Amyris, Frankincense, Lime, Patchouli, Roman Chamomile, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang) prepared to enhance focus and support healthy thought processes, good for homework and concentration at school or the office. Don’t be put of with the price of frankincense as it is such an all round oil it will be an essential to your families needs.
Helichrysum italicum is considered a medicinal plant with many promising pharmacological activities because it operates as a natural antibiotic, antifungal and antimicrobial. Allergies, acne, colds, coughs, skin inflammation, wound healing, constipation, indigestion and Acid Reflux, liver diseases, gallbladder disorders, inflammation of the muscles and joints, infections, candida, insomnia, stomachaches
and bloating . . . wow thats one oil! Yup its up there with frankincense and the go to oil and a must for an ASD family. Best of all is is a blood coagulant which means when your child is upset abd has a bloody cut it will stop the blood fast without the need for plasters or intervention that could cause the meltdown to get worst.
For frustration, impatience, and anger use oils and blends that calm. Like Balance,Serenity, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Console, Intune or the kids Range. Applying to the feet, back of the neck, behind the knees, and diffusion are all suggested.
You can make up blends to help with calming, relaxation and serenity within the home. This is one of my favourite to make up in a rollerball.
On Guard is the only medical first aid kit you will ever need! It helps boost your immune systems and protect against flu, colds, and viruses. As this is a hot oil (meaning it feels warm on the skin, always dilute it for kids. Adults can have it neat on their feet) Simple add 5 drops to 15 drops of fractionated coconut and rub on your kids feet at night once they have gone to bed. You can also get beedlets that you swallow too and throat sweets or you can make up a throat gargle with it too. You can dilute it with water and use it to clean your kitchen with and it’s ideal for your diffusers, killing of all bad bacteria and microbes and moulds and kill air bourne pathogens. It’s great to clear stuck energy too and I often use a spray bottle with water to clear a room. It works as great hand sanitiser and i make up a small 15ml spray bottle with 10 drops of oil and carry it in my bag.
DigestZen and Zendocrine in combination with On Guard these are powerful combination to support the gut flora and reduce unwanted parasites, bacteria and yeast overgrowths. I get my kids to swallow veggie capsule with these in but before they could I use to run these eon their feet or spines or use them in tea or smoothies.

3 drops Oregano
5 drops OnGuard
5 drops Tee Tree (Melaleuca)
5 drops Lemon
3 drops Peppermint
2 drops Oregano
2 drops Frankincense
2 drops OnGuard
Put this in a Veggie Cap and take every 3 to 4 hours or as needed.
Another way is applying topically with fractionated coconut oil. This is great for using on young children.
Another way is for children to put oregano, melaleuca and OnGuard essential oil blend on their feet (1 drop of each and apply every 2-3 hours).
You can also can add 2 to 3 drops of On Guard essential oil blend.
Basil is great for those kids on the spectrum who are low functioning as it stimulates the nervous system and wakes up the brain, and helps with concentration, increases focus. We used this on Edward lots when he was behind on his fine and gross motor skills and speech.
DDR Prime is my newest favourite oil. The Cellular Complex blend also includes essential oils from Frankincense, Lemongrass, Summer Savory and Niaouli leaf, which help support a healthy immune response. I have found that DDR Prime is calming to the nervous system of sensitive kids. Soothe the body and the mind by taking a drop internally or combine with a carrier oil and massage into the skin. Supportive to the health of the brain and nervous system, and has had great results with speech days and brain function…use DDR Prime as daily overall wellness support.

Recipe: Fill a 10 ml roller bottle halfway full with fractionated coconut oil, then add 4 drops of Frankincense essential oil, 4 drops of DDR Prime essential oils, 2 drops turmeric 2 drops Zendocrine and 2 drops Copabia. Roller on the neck or spine twice a day.
Oregano the queen of oils. It’s anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and a anti-septic to the respiratory system also antiviral and an immune stimulant. There is no need for antibiotics from the Doctor when you have this oil. 1-2 weeks of taking this oil before winter and you will sale through with no nasty bugs. If you come down with gastro, a virus or cold or flu start taking this for 3-4 weeks. It is also very good for wounds and fungus infections.
Tee Tree (Melaleuca) is amazing for ear infections. Either run a bath and get you child to bath there whole head in covering the art or simple place some diluted around the outside of the ear. In extreme cases you could add 1 drop in a carrier oil and drop it in to the ear canal it self.
Breathe/Easy Air is the perfect blend for asthma, croup, colds, exercising, coughs, tightness in the chest or for sore throats and the elimination of bacteria and viruses from the body as it opens up the airways. Simple put a diffuser in your child’s room with 5-10 drops in and let them fall asleep. You could add a few drops to there pillow too.
Copaiba is a resin, which Copaiba oil originates from, has been used medicinally since at least 1625 for the natural treatment of health concerns like bronchitis, chronic cystitis, chronic diarrhoea and haemorrhoids. Along side Easy Air I have found this to be a essentail oil for our home. It’s properties are also great for the skin and acne and soothes the nervous system and is anti-inflammatory. Are they a health food or stopping your gut from healing? How many is good and in what combination is best?
People who have had inflammatory bowel disease or leaky gut or suffer with a gut-brain connections such as (depression, autism) generally do not digest fats well because they lack the enzymes needed to break them down, I was no exception and the low carb high fat diet nearly killed me! Then moving away to a gourmet raw vegan diet. . . I still overloaded on raw desserts and nut cheeses and pates as I was living a gourmet raw diet trying to recreate cooked dishes that were so high in fats and hard to digest foods and fancy gourmet dinners.
This is what I’ve learned and why I now eat a simple diet with simple combinations and a small amount of seeds germinated here and there.
High- protein, fatty and oily foods must be minimised, especially during the first year of gut recovery or you will plato and cause long term damage. Learning to eat within your digestive limitations is so important for healing no matter what your mind wants and your eyes see. Fat intake must be increased gradually only in accordance with what you can properly digest good overt healthy fats are essential in the diet but must be stopped or minimised at first to get the healing. Overeating on overt healthy fats like nuts, seeds, coconuts and avocados will, typically, stress the digestive system and create a toxic condition indicated by gas, foul, putrid bowel odours, stomach acidity, constipation, fatigue, etc., which can trigger an inflammatory bowel disease flare up. None mind bad fats, them you just need to steer well clear off.
• One to two ounces of nut or seed or nut butters eaten with one dinner (away from fruit) in a salad meal once per day, may be all the fat that anyone can digest effectively after healing inflammatory bowel disease. Or 1/4-1/2 of an avocado may be your digestive limit per day.
• Raw (ungerminated) nuts are difficult to digest; but, when eaten in small quantities (one ounce per meal, once per day, one to three times per week, depending on your digestive strength (I can not even cope with that much without getting sluggish and tired) and of course chewing them well with lettuce, celery or cucumbers, then they might digest ok and give healthful benefits. The masticating action (chewing) of our teeth is not capable of effectively breaking down hard nuts and seeds to particle sizes small enough to be completely digested by our stomach acids. We are not squirrels! Stomach acid can only act on the outer surface of the nuts particles; if acidic digestive enzymes are not able to act on the protein within the particles, the protein will pass through the system unused and without giving you its nutrients and will putrefy in the bowel causing bloating, gas and wind. Activating your nuts and seeds helps with this.
• Raw nuts and seed smoothies (made with water, citrus fruit (only) or vegetables in a blender) and raw nuts and seed butters -made in good blenders and or available in jars from health food stores, not mass supermarket brands. Are much easier to digest than unprocessed whole nut and seeds, and are, therefore, recommended to eat. Still, they are very rich in oily fat which can cause problems if eaten beyond your digestive capability and you know how fast a bag of nuts goes or a jar of nut butter. So go easy on them with small amounts in the right food combinations and always the freshest highest quality. Food combining and why is it essential for health!-chart.I would suggest having smoothies with fruits, greens and water with NO NUTS OR SEEDS ADDED.
• “Living” nuts and seeds, i.e., raw nuts such as almonds germinated/sprouted in water for 12 to 24 hours then sprouted in room temperature air, are more digestible than ungerminated (raw) nuts. The soaking and germination process hydrates and softens the hard fiber and reduces complex proteins into readily digestible amino acids. Germinated nut and seed blends (cheeses or patés) are perhaps easiest on the digestive system—an easy salad dressing is to blend one to two ounces of nuts or seeds with water, fresh-squeezed orange juice, a slice of orange or a tomato in a blender, then use this as a salad dressing or dip for vegetables.
• Experiment making nut and seed milks. Soak raw nuts or seeds in purified water for 2 to 24 hours, rinse well, blend at high speed with purified water in a blender, then strain and slowly drink the milk, mixing in your saliva. Chew chew chew even liquids!
Step by Step – Making Nut and Seed Milks.
• Avoid old rancid nuts and seeds that’s any that come from a supermarket or in packets, they can be 1-3 years old—these tend to feel soft, taste cheesy with no sweetness and appear darker in color than when they are fresh. You are not getting nutrition from these just toxins and more mucus being formed.
• Heated or roasted nuts and seeds are very toxic and must be avoided. Avoid roasted and salted nut and seed butters. Never cook with nuts!
• Peanut butter is not recommended because: 1. In raw or heated form, it is difficult to digest due to its high protein and starch content which we know doesn’t digest well; 2. In roasted form it is highly toxic; and 3. Peanuts are one of the most heavily pesticide-sprayed crops even in Australia.
• Organic, whole, raw peanuts can be eaten in moderation if they have been sprouted (soaked in water and allowed to germinate for several hours). However, these are subject to a toxic, yellow mold and must be carefully inspected and eaten with caution. Peanuts are actually a legumes and not recommend for gut healing as they are hard to digest.
If you are to eat nuts I would suggest choosing high omega 3 nuts like walnuts, pistachios, Macadamia, Brazil nuts which are great brain foods, over the higher omega 6 almond if you can. I do not suggest the raw nut desserts the are so hard to digest and are high in fats and rancid oils. Once you’ve done the healing work add them in as an occasional treat or different texture!
